Model Letter for Progression from Main Pay Scale to Upper Pay Scale

Model Letter for Progression from Main Pay Scale to Upper Pay Scale If you are planning to progress to the Upper Pay Scale, this Model Letter is an excellent template you can use and easily adapt to support your application to the Headteacher and Governing Body of your school. This is a letter I have actively used as a Headteacher, supporting teachers who have successfully progressed to the UPS. The letter is approximately 750 words in length and is clearly linked to the Teaching Standards. The letter is provided in Word so it is easily editable to include your own personal experience, age-focus and school context. I have provided this letter as a great template for teachers who have gone on to progress successfully to UPS. Good luck in your application!

OFSTED / INTERVIEW OUTSTANDING LITERACY LESSON - STORY ANECDOTES - YEAR 4/5/6

This is a literacy lesson I have used a few times and has been judged as OUTSTANDING, and could be used for an INTERVIEW or OFSTED observation. The lesson focus is on writing short story anecdotes and can be adapted to be a 30 minute or 1 hour lesson. It follows a transport theme, especially flying (hence the video stimulus) and does rely on an extract from Danny the Champion of the World. The lesson could also be adapted to suit Years 4, 5 or 6. The flying video on the PPT was particularly inspiring! All resources included: Power point Presentation Detailed Lesson Plan Differentiated Worksheets Anecdote examples
